Alexandra Zerner’s Music
It was a long time, since I did my last cover, but this masterpiece of Joe Satriani remained stuck in my mind for so long, that it would be a shame not to try to play it… and put something from me in there as well. I must admit, that beside the strong emotional load, this piece consists of, it is also like a guitar lesson about string bending – so many of them here, every single one being pitched perfectly by maestro Satriani, so even though it is far from shredding, it is still a great challenge for every lead guitarist.
Well, enough talking – here’s the video, so enjoy, subscribe to my channel and share! 🙂
After months of hearing my friends humming some melodies of my track “The Seducer’s Diary”, I decided, that this should be the first piece from the album to have a music video, so I and the director Boris Katzounov started discussing some ideas about the video. I had the idea, that there should be a storyline – a symbolic and metaphoric one, which had to reproduce what I felt, when reading the Kirkekaard’s book, but re-created nowadays – this task was wonderfully performed by Boris Katzounov, the cameraman Vladimir Bichev and the actors – Victoria Ivanova and Hristo Gebrev.
To avoid the monotonous storytelling, which wouldn’t correspond with the music’s dynamics, I thought it is best to rely on the classical approach to use black & white shots of a band playing, which gave the music video the dynamics needed, also the feel of a soundtrack from a movie, which was the main goal – thanks to the video editor Nikolina Atanasova. Because of the tough schedule of all the people, involved in the video, we had only about 3 hours of shooting, but we did it in time, so I am very grateful to all the crew, who supported this video clip and made it happen – big thanks to all of you!
So, here is the video, so enjoy and share!
Well, my debut album “9 Stories” is officially out and you can find it on the link below.
All I can say is, that this projects was a really hard task to perform, a 9-month musical adventure, where I had to compose, play and record every single instrument, which left me with almost no powers at the end. Luckily, I had the strenght to mix and master this epic (for me) production, so now you can enjoy it and eventually buy it, which would be great support to me, because I have no manager, no label and stuff and I am doing everything on my own.
Thanks in advance!

Because I’ve recently got my first 8-string guitar from Jackson Guitars, I decided to make something interesting… like arranging “Flight Of The Bumblebee” in some sort of a djent style. I thought, that there are too many people, who just play this piece from 170 bpm to 98234098234098 bpm, using the same midi file as a background, which is a little bit annoying in a musical aspect… Of course, I highly respect these people, who had the patience to reach such speeds, but I didn’t do this cover to compete with someone. I am not trying to be the fastest guitar player – I can’t be, neither it’s a goal for me. I actually like the music in this piece, because it is a great example of making a melody, using mainly chromatic scales. This was and the challenge for me – I needed to integrate very different counterparts and low end riffs, which needed to keep the harmony of the piece and give it a brand new modern sounding at the same time.
Well, enough talking from me. Below is the video, so enjoy, subscribe, share and… enjoy again 😉
I decided, that it would be a good idea to enlighten my fans a little bit more about my #upcoming #debut #solo #album “9 Stories”, so I made a short #teaser to one of my tracks, which is called “For Esmé – With Love And Squalor” and I did just the guitar intro of the track, which is sort of a neoclassical, baroque type of guitar part, done as an interlude to the following interesting progressive rock instrumental, but enough spoiling for now 🙂
Here’s the video, so enjoy and share! 🙂
Another interesting guitar contest, that I was invited to enter, and it was really a pleasure to compose a solo for the given track, because it has interesting riffs, harmony modulations and nice chord progressions, which made the writing process more challenging, than usual. This time I decided to use the pedal bend function of my #BossGT-8 and to do some experiments with it, because I always wanted to do something with it, but somehow I didn’t succeed to integrate it in my compositions, so I am happy it worked this time.
So, below is the video and I hope you will enjoy it. Feel free to share it everywhere, if you like it 🙂
Finally I pushed myself to make something visual with this track, called “The Seducer’s Diary”, which will be a part of my #debut #solo #album “9 Stories”, because it became something like a hit – many of my friends told me they had some melodies from this track stuck in their minds, so it would be a shame not to do anything about it.
So, I took my phone, put it on some DIY by me stand and started shooting different plans of me playing… I really became mad, because I had to do several different jobs for making this video because finally, I was not only guitar player but a cameraman, director and video editor 😀
It took me very much time because actually I am not familiar with shooting, directing or editing and I had to learn all these things during the process. In fact, when I uploaded my video to YouTube, I was nicely surprised, that it gained five times more views than my other videos, so I suppose I already have new, higher goals to achieve from now on 😀
Well… I stop with the bullsh*it and will provide you with the video, so enjoy it, share it and support me in every other way, if you like my work 🙂
So here’s another nice guitar competition, which is the collaboration between #Mayones #guitars and my favourite guitar #pickup brand #SeymourDuncan, who have provided a wonderful backing track to play on, so it was a pleasure for me to do my “magic” on it 😀

I hope you’ll enjoy my work 🙂
